Today I gave Karen a real gift of love... I went shopping with her! Furthermore, I exercised the patience of Day #1 (I said nothing negative), I exercised the kindness of Day #2 (I tried to be a blessing while we were shopping), and while I didn't buy her anything (Love Dare #3), I did fulfill Ephesians 4:2, which calls us to show tolerance for one another in love and to do it "with all humility and gentleness."
I give myself a B+ for the day. It would be an 'A,' but I downgraded myself for feeling kind of prideful about it all! In the long history of sacrificial love, shopping with your wife probably doesn't rank that high! I'm still proud I did it though!
